I took the leap of faith, after Wayne's stern warning about BETA status, initiated the 1.96 updated, and was pleased that the transceiver did not burst into flames in front of me. In fact, it works even better than before the update. ;-)
My worst nightmare is I'll do an update and some thing I love dearly will be gone forever - hasn't happened yet. I am generally amazed when some new and useful feature shows up that I didn't even request. These come along at a pretty fast clip. The only things I'm waiting on are the ability to transmit AM through the FM filter, and when VFO A and B are linked I'd like to see them both change then the RIT control is setup to do coarse tuning. Wonder if anyone can think of a reason why that would not be an advantage?
