Is it possible to work from the VFO, and not have to change modes
every time I switch bands? The only work around I have found is to go
through all the bands and set them to what I am working on at the
moment. I understand the K2 is the same way, and it bothered me there
also. I'm not trying to get into another band stacking register thing
discussion.
If I have a certain setup in front of me on the rig, just because I
change frequencies, does not mean that I want to change other settings.
I have looked through the manual and the config menu and I cannot find
anything applicable.
Being a newer ham, licensed in 2001, I do not recall this happening on
other rigs. All I have had before the K2/K3 was a Kenwood TS-570DG,
and an IC-718, so it is possible that this is like this for a good
reason, that I am just missing.
