I've not seen any noise reduction or noise blanking work this well. As for the noise blanker I can set here and watch the S-meter go down while the NB builds the filter, just as Lyle has described it. Amazing! The NR is much improved on CW. I haven't tried it on SSB yet. One thing I haven't heard anyone deles mention is the notch filter. I put the rig on the Spectrum Lab software and observed what the notch filter was doing shortly after I got the rig (#806) and noticed that when the notch filter is on auto it males several narrow nulls on the waterfall, but when in the manual setting it makes a null that seems to me to be too wide and you can't get very close to the desired signal with it or the desired signal will also be nulled, which is a problem with CW. Has anyone else noticed this?
