first off VFO IND is not yet implemented its listed in the ERRATA for
the owners manual.  If something doesn't work then its a good idea to
look in the owners manual errata document.  

Next you have to set your speakers to 1 if you're using the internal
speaker in the radio.  You can set it to 2 spkrs if you're using
headphones or stereo speakers out the back but otherwise you'll only
hear the primary RX.
