I think Virgil's doing a great job bringing these projects and kits out, but ... I enjoyed building a HFPacker amp, but didn't keep it long. I found that it was *very* sensitive to taking too much input, also to a mismatched antenna. I blew the MOSFETs in the first week of (what I thought was) gentle use. I replaced them, made sure it all worked, and sold it. I bought a KPA100 instead, and never looked back.
