When I received my K3/100 a year ago, the instructions were to build the 10W version and test it, then add the PA. Since then the instructions may have changed. In any event adding the PA is quite straightforward.
The post and packing charges can add up if you buy accessories afterwards, while it won't apply to yourself - here in the UK there is a very expensive customs handling charge by UPS or even more expensive by Parcel Force (£11 and £13.50 respectively when I bought the K3 and accessories), so especially for overseas buyers it may be well worth buying what you want in one package. 73 Dave, G4AON K3/100 #80 --------------------------------- During these trying economic times I'm not sure if I can swing the 100W K3 right now, so I may just order the QRP version. How difficult is adding the amplifier at a later date? Would it pay in time and aggravation just to wait and order the 100W kit?
