Good Evening!
Another week has passed. The Oregon woods have been filled with fog and
mist leaving the trees moist and the mushrooms very happy. My woodpiles have
all been covered so they are as dry as they can be; Sam and I are cozy warm. A
bit too warm in fact. Right now it is 73 degrees F back here in the
radioshack. Normally I like it around 68 degrees but Sam must have pushed the
damper open just a little more. I will go check on him ;)
Propagation has been less than optimal but I was able to work in to Alabama
on twenty meters and got the Colorado fox on 40 meters. It was a tough hunt
but he finally came up out of the mist and then was gone again. It took well
over an hour to hear anyone and all I heard was him. No hounds to be heard at
all. Luckily we had our exchange and I made the log in the one minute he was
audible. There is a solar stream rushing at us but it is not due until
December 3rd. Hopefully the contesters are exciting the ionosphere enough so
we can have a couple good nets tomorrow.

Please join us tomorrow evening.
