Don,

Thank you for the clarification and reminding how to use the memory keys, I
hadn't used them for awhile while learning other things and this helped me
get caught up!

Jim,

.....

The K3 memories are "random access" which means that one can retrieve
the contents of any entry at random - you just have to know what is in
each enrty.

The M1 - M4 buttons can be used to quickly store 4 frequencies per band
- as you are tuning around a band and hear a signal of interest, tap the
V>M button and then one of the M1-M4 buttons - then tune on again. When
you want to come back to the prior frequency, tap M>V and then the
button you stored the frequency into. It can remember 4 per band.

The K3 also has 100 general purpose memories that you can set up for any
fixed frequency you want to retrieve. The first 10 are 'quick memories'
that can be used to recall the last used frequency on any band.
In addition to the frequency, the mode, filter presets, antenna
selection, and other settings are saved.

Don W3FPR
