Hi all, I tend to use NB IF WID 1/2/3 most often to get rid off rattle/pulse noises, quite comparable to the Drake NB.
Yesterday night we had quite a lot of thunderstorm static over Western Europe so I played a bit more with the different NB settings. I found that NB DSP settings t1-7 and t2-7 are quite effective with thunderstorm static crashes. Without the DSP-NB static has quite strong peaks making copying difficult. With the NB DSP settings t1-7/t2-7 static crashes get a more soft "brushing" character which is very good to make listening "into the noise" more easy. Good job! 73' Paul PD0PSB -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/K3-NB-DSP-in-thunderstorm-static-tp2857572p2857572.html Sent from the [K3] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
