Mike, I have been using Logger32 for about 10 years and have had virtually no issues. I currently have 3 USB to serial adapters running on my PC, one for the Yaesu and two connected to the K-3, one for reading the data from the radio into Logger32, the other for the Logger32 CW keyer. At this moment CPU usage is running 2-7% with both Logger32 running and LP-Bridge running. PC is running XP and is a dual core Intel machine. Hope this helps.
