We are using pair of K3 in WRTC style competition. Since the requirement there is only one signal at any given moment we are using external lock out on PTT lines. The problem with this arrangement is that if one of the PTT line is disabled by lock out and operator starts to TX, he will still hear his transmission through the monitor and therefore may not realize he is not transmitting. If we use Inhibit feature of K3 will we be able to solve that. In other words does inhibit work as PTT lock out or does it inhibit TX entirely including monitor function?
