The "Elecraft procedure" is easier written than done (I've fought with (and lost) the lockwashers more times that I care to). Running the cables and getting the KRX3 in place is also not the most simple/intuitive operation. It's certainly not a five minute job for me even though I've pulled and installed KRX3 several times between my two rigs. 73, ...
