Interesting.. Mine seems to be working as it did before. I just tied it on a few AM stations near 40. Got in the area in LSB got it setup with the carrier in my window hit the button and poof gone.
I then found another tone that seemed to be drifting back and forth a little bit and hit the auto notch on that. It seemed to notch it but was following it a bit slowly so it was just off of it every so often but it was updating and keeping things quieter. I also QSYed quickly when the notch was doing its thing and you hear the tone come back for a short bit then you hear the filter slide over and keep the carrier covered up. Are you sure you're in a mode that supports the auto notch?
