Don : Thanks for the info. I see where it is possible for the P-3 to work with radios other than the K-3 with some modification, possibly to the P-3 and the particular radio. Not clear. I think as a stand-alone unit the P-3 would be of interest to me working with the K-2. My second K-2 has the Z10000 buffer amp installed for use with an LP-Pan so I am going to wait and see if I need to buy an LP-Pan or maybe the P-3. I may buy neither anyway, but I like to explore options. I have a PRO 111 and find the scope very useful to identify other signals within range. My K-2 may not need anything further and is a delight to operate. I haven't found any use for the installed Z10000 as yet. Ron KM4VX
