Wayne, In the spirit of not desiring "magic buttons", I can say that if I want that behavior on my radio, I will set the dial (with VFO A knob) to ".00" and then I can use the RIT knob to move in 1 kHz increments. In other words, I like the behavior as it is now. If I am tuning the SSB portion of the band, yes, I will "quantize" the low order digits manually, but if I am tuning the CW portion, automatically quantizing the low order digits is not as great an idea - I may want a particular offset from "00", so let me do it myself if I desire, but please do not force it on me.
