Can I plead for flexibility? Everyone seems to want the most efficient split operation for their particular way of using split, but there are other requirements as well. For example, assume a DX station is using a K3 on 40m phone, say at 7055 kHz, and trying to listen both on its own frequency and on a split frequency high in the band, say at 7250 kHz. In that application, he would want to be able to transmit on either VFO simply by turning SPLIT on or off. He wouldn't want any automatic frequency equalization. I like the way SPLIT works right now, as it allows such flexibility. 73, andy, ae6y
