This is beta firmware. People are being invited to test it. This is a two way process. If people are being invited to test software, they feel involved in the development process and also feel entitled to make suggestions for improvements. It's only natural that their suggestions reflect their personal interests. It's up to the guys at Elecraft to sort the totally bonkers suggestions from the ones that help make the K3 better, and I think they are doing a good job of that.
Just remember, all the people who are spending valuable operating time downloading and beta testing firmware are helping make a smoother upgrade experience for all those who choose to wait for a final release. ----- Julian, G4ILO.
