I've seen one other report of this. I just did a full scan of my development system with Microsoft Security Essentials. That file is in my file system. No threats were found.
That of course doesn't guarantee that AVG is finding something that Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't. I didn't deliberately install any Trojan horses into the K3 Utility executable. I'm using firewalls, sound practices, and a frequent anti virus scan on my development machine. I suspect this is a "false positive" from AVG. I'll install AVG on another machine to see what it says.
