In general, be sure you have FIR rather than IIR filters selected. 
CONFIG:FLx GN and tap "7" until you see the message "IIR OFF"

You can use most any of the CONFIG:FL menus for this.

The click or "pop" as you go between a width of 0.15 and 0.10 is normal.
