Hi All, I have a problem with my Brand X USB to serial converter or cable that I have not seen addressed here. It works fine except when I access it, it introduces noise to my K3. This noise sounds like QRN and it happens only if I open the K3 utility or HRD. It does not seem to affect the S meter. I have snap-on chokes at both ends of the USB cable. The strange thing is I just started noticing this a few months ago, before that it worked without adding noise (I think).
It functions OK and does what it is supposed to, except for the noise. It is connected to a Dell 5100 PC running Windows XP SP3 fully updated. Any ideas???
