Hi Greg: I remember reading a comment from Lyle on the reflector. He said that the first four NR selections are optimized for CW and the last 4 are optimized for SSB. This happened a few months ago when 5 through 8 were added. Previously we only had 1 through 4. Lyle is the DSP engineer.
For CW, I personally have been using 4-1 to 4-4 exclusively, however, I have also found that 5-1 and 5-2 sometimes seem a bit better.
