The primary reason for this is that the delay through the denoiser filter is not deterministic. Selections 5-8 do a "wet and dry mix" of processed and unprocessed audio. This can result in scalloping of the signal amplitude, so the user's CW pitch may end up being emphasized -- or severely attenuated -- depending on the pitch, mixing setting, and the amount of noise being suppressed.
