Stewart I'm still missing something in your setup. If you only have one TX antenna (i.e. the doublet) and one RX antenna (the loop), why not connect the loop to the KRX3's AUX RF. What is it that you believe connecting the loop to ANT2 is buying you? Surely it's not using the tuner since that would require putting RF into the loop which you said you don't want to do. I connect only TX antennas via PL-259 connectors and only RX antennas via BNC connectors. I have many TX antennas and use an external switch to route them to the K3 ANT1 input (I don't have a KAT3). I also have about 10 Beverages and an RX 4SQ. Using both RX ANT and AUX RF allows me to use my selected TX antenna, or any of the Beverages (externally switched) into RX ANT and the RX 4SQ into AUX RF. I don't need to worry about transmitting into my RX antennas because that's impossible to do since all RX antennas use BNC ports on the K3. Main Antenna (RX mode): TX antenna (ANT1) OR Beverages (RX ANT) selectable by tapping RX ANT. Sub RX: TX antenna (MAIN) OR RX 4SQ (AUX RF) selectable by toggling ANT in BSET. I still don't understand any advantage to using ANT2 for the loop and KRX3 input in your setup. Please explain in more detail what your reasoning is for doing that? There must be more to it than is evident in your original post. 73, Bill -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/K3-Diversity-antenna-settings-wish-tp4207954p4208763.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
