I use a Yaesu Quadra with my K3.  Requires a slight modification to the 
cables that is not difficult.

I think Wayne plans to implement Icom CIV protocol as an option at some 
point but not sure where it is on his priorities.  You can also use 
something like the Microham MicrokeyerII which can provide CIV output.
