I find even the lowest level (1 -1) on the noise reduction is too aggressive especially with weak signals. You can learn to love digital noise reduction, I had an NIR 10 and used judiciously was very helpful. This morning trying to work a station in Senegal 6W2SC, I wished the NR was a little less or more adjustable. Maybe a future software upgrade.
