Richard, I agree with you. The NR is still not quite up to snuff, at least my mind. It is my one ongoing pet peeve. I think it is too aggressive for the lowest settings too. I still favor the way Icon does it with a continuous variable control starting out with little NR and increasing without gong through banks of settings. Maybe in theory the banks work and are helpful. But in a contest I favor the Icom method. I don't think I have been able yet to turn on the NR to pull out a weak one better than listening without it on. Maybe someday?
