Congrats once again on the K2 and the QSO. I don't have the noise blanker and unless I go mobile don't expect to have any need for it but it seems I have heard that it is not effective on anything other than ignition noise. I hope you don't find that to be the case. Possibly the DSP unit would serve you better for help in conquering the noise issue although back when I owned a K3 I did not find the DSP in that radio to be nearly as effective as I had hoped. I confess to being extremely fortunate where I live as noise is seldom a problem and I find the K2 to have a very nice quiet receiver. When I had to deal with considerable noise, some time back, I discovered that using a magnetic loop type of antenna for receive was a very effective way to reduce noise that I could not otherwise eliminate. So far I really like my K2, qrp version for cw 72 Garry/Ve7ajj -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/K2-maiden-flight-tp4578202p4583609.html Sent from the [K2] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
