Dunno what I was thinking, re DELAY control! Of course Tom is correct. Specific to the Alpha (p-i-n diode QSK), the Ip leds overshoot dimly from normal Ip to as much as 1.5A at key-up in QSK mode.
Adjusting DELAY has no effect on this. The led overshoot goes away in non-QSK modes if DELAY is set above 0.03. Grounding the RELAY line on the Alpha without r-f drive causes the same led overshoot.
