This is a strange one. My K3 has been on the bench for a couple months waiting for me to get around to replacing the KPAIO3 board, which had developed the habit of not allowing me to use the 100W PA. I finally got around to it last night, and the PA problem seems to be fixed, for now anyway. It was intermittent, so we'll have to run it a while to be sure.
However, a new problem has popped up that wasn't there before I swapped out the board. I run a lot of meteor scatter on 6m using WSJT, so my K3 is normally configured to work through an external sound card device and computer in TX DATA mode. What I'm seeing is that I get no output from the Line Out port when LIN OUT in Config is set to "nor". If I switch it to =PHONES, I get normal output from the Line Out port (albeit through the volume control, not what I want), so this isn't a problem external to the K3; cable, connectors, and computer are all working as they should. In "nor" mode, I can set the LIN OUT output level to anything, but the actual output is zero in any case. (It used to be set to 7, quite low, and would give adequate output at that level.) Switch to =PHONES, and suddenly everything works. I'm assuming this must be some kind of weird, dumb configuration thing I've done or am failing to do, but I can't see what it is right now. Firmware is 3.44/2.38/1.04, FWIW. I haven't updated firmware since before the K3 went to the bench. Any help before I contact the Elecraft guys?
