And things seem to be getting worse with every contest. At least 10% of the SSB signals I hear are so badly processed that the audio is so badly distorted that I can't copy the call sign, even if I listen to it a dozen times. And yes, some of these lids consider themselves big guns. Several times in the last month or so, R1FJM has been spotted on 20M SSB. I'd like to work him, and I can hear him, but his audio is so awful I can't understand a word.
