The K144XV would give you all mode instead of just FM but at more 
cost and lower power.

If you only want 2 meter FM, then a separate less-expensive 
higher-power 2 meter FM mobile rig right might make a lot more sense 
to you. That's the approach I use. Since I never transmit on both at 
the same time, I use one power supply for both the 2 meter FM rig and 
the K3/100.
