The update has reduced the amount of "noise" my wife hears upstairs. I know
that sounds wild, but believe me it is totally worth it. The sound quality of
the radio with my external stereo speakers including subwoofer is very pleasant.

Craig, Philippe and the rest of the gang,

I also upgraded last week and I can confirm Craig´s and Philippe´s
comments. The K3 simply sounds much nicer, warmer and less annoying and
especially SSB, which was quite unpleasant to my ears(and yes,I played
around with the settings many hours),is now far better than my back up Icom
761 with JPS NIR-12
DSP.
