Both the DDS Gain Mod (for chirp) and the Stiffener Mod primarily affect the transmitted signal, so both mods should be installed in the Main VCO. For KRX3 users, Elecraft recommends making mods to both VCO boards in case those boards should accidentally be swapped in the future. If you take care to mark the modified board, IMO it should not be necessary to modify the other one. 73, Bill -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K3SYN3-with-and-without-shielding-tp5213399p5214089.html Sent from the [K3] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
