Hi Wayne, Thanks for the explanation. I guess I didn't remember that there were actually 2 different types of scans. I was using the long hold as a way to listen while it scanned. But you are right, with a long hold it would run right by any signal unless it is stopped manually with a key press or a paddle press (in CW mode).
