And there is another method that works well too and is quite safe. Created a long time ago by Tom Hammond N0SS.
Mount one foot, insert the bail, then using long screws (the PA mounting screws will do, but 3/4 inch or longer 4-40 screws work easier), put the screws in at an angle and start the nuts, don't bother with the lockwashers - then alternately tighten the long screws and foot and the loose end of the bail will be pulled into place as you tighten the screws. When these long screws are both tight, remove them one at a time and insert the proper hardware, lock washers and nuts. Job done. 73, Don W3FPR Alan D.
