Tom, You and others may want to consider this simple mod to the K3, that for me has made a big ergonomic difference in the operation of the K3's balance control during split operations. The balance control is now on the longer inner concentric knob by keeping the AF and RF knobs together on the same control. Keep in mind that this mod could be done through firmware and although I have not seen it as an optional menu feature, I may have overlooked it in past firmware updates.
