You may also want to look at the solid-state PS from http://Power-werx.com model=SS-30. I picked up one in a raffle and it powers the K3 just fine with a very small footprint, two power poles in the front and a pair of terminals in the back. I have not tried to use it to float charge a battery and the Mfg. was not clear if it would work in this application. It has a fan that makes some noise.
