[EM] Approval Voting

Are people writing to this list advocating some "Approval Vote" method?.
Isn't it one of the very worst methods around?.

D- It is a lower tech major improvement over simple plurality (especially if 
there is a majority requirement) pending the higher tech use of head to head 
number voting (which needs computers for large scale elections).
