Mr. Simmons wrote-- INSTANT PAIRWISE ELIMINATION RUNOFF In each round of the runoff either the candidate with the greatest number of last place votes or the one with the next to greatest number of last place votes is eliminated, whichever loses in the pairwise comparison of the two. [END OF DESCRIPTION] --- D- Many math limited folks will say --- do the reverse and have the head to head math for the top 2 using first place votes --- a type of plurality runoff (with all of its math defects). How much public education does it take to show that a head to head table does exist if rankings are used (based on Desired > Compromise > Unacceptable) And the possible results of having such a table-- having a Condorcet Winner and having 1 or more Condorcet Losers. Since about 2 percent of the voters cannot even vote properly using even simple plurality (the *moron* nonvoters), it may be expected that *any* reform will get the standard gang of suspects whining bigtime about the morons and their problems. Thus, I suggest that only the KISS idea has even a remote chance of getting adopted in real political world elections -- especially for offices like chief executive officer of countries -- U.S.A. President, U.K. prime minister, etc.
