Thanks Steve, that solves most of the problems. However, one more
remains. The instantiation is correct and the subckt definition is
correct; but the device on which I want the parameter to inherit has a
hard coded value of 0u. Jake observed this in earlier versions of
Electric; but was not able to solve this problem. See below:

.SUBCKT inv_33 in out vdd wn=1u wp=1.5u
** GLOBAL gnd
** GLOBAL vdd
Mmn0 out in gnd gnd nsvt33 L=0.4U W=0U
