Thanks for everyones input on this forum for it has been very useful
to me in my quest for an "enhanced" experience.
I have a few thoughts on the dangers of using stereo-stim, and
thought I would share them with you in the hope that it will
highlight the dangers of using this method.
Remember, when hooked up to the speaker wires from your stereo you
are grounded. Think of it as being in a bath full of water.
You do know of the dangers of touching anything electrical while in
the bath, don't you? It is highly dangerous, for if there is any
type of short in the appliance that you are touching it could be the
end for you. A bedside table lamp for instance.
"If" you must use the stereo for stimming then please try to make it
as safe as possible by taking extra care, for instance.
Use rubber gloves. Make sure "all" of your stimming equipment is
plugged into an anti-surge, earth-trip plug.
I also would recommend the use of in-line fuses on the speaker
leads, I am not proficient in the electrical field so do not know to
what value these fuses should be. Perhaps someone on this forum with
more knowledge could help in this respect?
