Regarding switching to stable PPAs I would defer to Sergey about that, he just moved the bug about switching PPAs<https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/840273>to luna-beta2 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementary/+milestone/luna-beta2>. It may come back to haunt us if we advise users that beta will eventually turn into luna final, since there could be some unforeseeable issues that create a bad experience that does not happen in luna final.
