Thanks for the many replies to my first question. The second one didn't have a single response though - probably I didn't phrase it well. 2nd question was: how do I search for keywords in the archives? with this I meant the elinks-archives; how would I look for posts with eg "customize elinks" if there's no search option?
<What exactly do you mean by "regular Linux-user"?> In my case I'd say: not a total newbee, but not experienced enough to work with commands all the time, or to know what is meant by: 1337 desktop - to dump a page - access ip via ssh (all mentioned in replies to my original question) and such :-) <You join the ranks of super-geek :P> I knew nothing of computers 15 years ago and didn't like 'em because the kids always played games on 'em. To make a long story short - now at age 53 I find myself getting (slightly) nerdier by the day, enjoying the learning curve I've had in Linux so far. So it's nice to find geeky forums to learn from :-) Ludo
