Great.  If you need a sample file, I could rip just a chapter or two
using the same settings and post it to the appropriate ticket in trac.

I'm using the proprietary nvidia drivers and have the "Sync to VBlank"
options checked for  "Video Texture Adaptor,"  "Open GL Settings >
Sync to VBlank" and "Video Blitter Adaptor" in nvidia-settings.  The
video doesn't tear or anything like that, just gets a bit jerky.

The files for which this happened were from eMusic.com, which names
its files as what appear to be random numeric strings.  Perhaps the
player is playing the files in numerical/alphabetical order instead of
using the ID3 track number when browsing by folder.
