I'm not sure that the xdg menu entry builder works for sub directories. Can you
just move it into the main directory and try again?
If you want to have subdirectories, you probably have to specify a tree of
directories in the xml file...
Try again.

P.S - i've tried to post a message in elisa's forums, but there is no
