Hello,
sorry for the late reply.
I've localised (in Italian) the "favourites" and the "shoutcast"
plugins, that were the only ones ready for localisation and not yet
localised.
What's next? I've got the .po files and the .mo compiled files, what can
I do with them? Shall I send them to someone or upload them somewhere?
One more question: the favourites menu is now correctly displaying in
Italian for me, but when I select, say, the "tracks" entry, it displays
a message "there are no favourite tracks", and that's still in English,
though there is no such string in the favourites' .po file. Is it some
other part of elisa or some other plugin responsible for that string?
Regards,
Davide

Hi Davide,
Contributions to elisa are always welcome, especially for localization
which is not updated as often as it should.
The Italian translations have been updated quite some time ago, a
refresh wouldn't hurt.
We don't have a fancy tutorial for localizers yet but we already have a
bit of documentation (which you will find in the source tree at
elisa-core/docs/localisation.txt). We are using gettext to translate
elisa, if you are familiar with the framework and the related tools it
should be fairly easy for you to contribute.
Today is release day so unfortunately no time to update the .pot files
but I will take care of doing so asap so that you can start translating
the relevant strings and so we can integrate them for the next release
(next Monday). I will let you know when everything is ready.
Regards,
Olivier

Excuse me, I would like to participate to the Elisa project, helping
translating Elisa in my own language, Italian. Is anyone already working
on this translation? Can you please tell me how to join or where to
start, if you are interested?
Thanks
