Thanks! This post was much better than the title suggested. In my opinion these are all valid points, but not as urgent as other problems people currently have with Elm. I’m sure Evan will revisit the naming of functions once major pain points of the language have been addressed. From my experience the good thing about Elm is that it’s not afraid of making breaking changes (e.g. dropping FRP entirely in 0.17), so renaming the standard library is unlikely to be a problem if people agree there are better ones.
