Our use-case: We connect our elm application to a NATS server through a websocket [1]
The protocol is text-based but the payload can be binary. We would like to switch to protobuf to encode our payloads but cannot do that because of the elm client. So we stick to json for now. So the need is to be able to encode/decode data structures to a binary websocket connection.
