It was caused by a change on 29 August by Kenichi Handa to dispextern.h: <http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-commit/2008-08/msg00731.html>AFAICT it hasn't been fixed in HEAD yet. (The Mercurial mirror I use isn't updated terribly frequently, so it may have been.)
