cedet and ede are being integrated into the trunk now, and this error is not likely related to NS. You could post about it to emacs-dev, or just read the archive there / wait and see if it gets resolved.
If possible I'd rather not use --disable-ns-self-contained. I'd like to compile a 64-bit version too.
64-bit support has patches, but is waiting for either the original poster to sign copyright papers, or for me to get a snow leopard machine to work on / rewrite them. In the meantime Aquamacs has integrated the aforementioned patches.
